Treasurer's Report -- Fundraiser from Garage Sale went in, paid for Show Choir dresses.

Items for Discussion:

  1. Fundraiser Update - pick up for Snacks and Such this Thursday, November 4th.  Fundraiser worked will and raised a lot of money.  Happenings Books - sold $5,000 in books.  Six kids sold more than ten books, and one girl sold 32.

  2. Concert gate receipts from Fall Concert --SeatYourself check - made $2,851.43 from concert; on-line sold 344 tickets for 8:00 pm concert and 389 for 6:00 pm concert.  Added another $600 at the door.  Discussion regarding ticket sales at the door.  Holiday concert online ticket sales will stop on the day before (Friday) at noon.

  3. Concession Sales from Fall Concert -- made $323.00.  Still have receipts to come in, have products left over, will sell at December concert.

  4. Holiday Concert - will sell tacos, pizza and regular concessions, cookies, candy canes, and hot chocolate. Need at least six volunteers per shift at concessions.  Six to eight ushers needed.  Discussion regarding putting flyers together, and putting up around businesses (County Market, etc.)  Big poster-size flyers are done through a photographer.

  5. Spaghetti Dinner/Silent Auction January 28, 4:00-9:00 PM.  Lions provide the food.  Madrigals will sing approx. 10-15 at beginning and middle.  Looking for volunteers to form a group for coordinating the Silent Auction.  Would like to do pre-sale ticket sales at the Christmas show.  Businesses are already aware of it. The majority of work will be silent Auction.

  6. County Market in St. Francis is not interested in doing bagging, but have applied at County Market Andover.  CUB in Elk River not interested, but CUB in Riverdale does.

  7. Madrigal and Wind Ensemble -- to sing & play at Veteran's Day breakfast.

  8. Wild Beef Jerky -- Food Perspectives.  Discussion regarding participating in taste testing food, get paid, and the organization gets paid a stipend for it.  Students can participate as well, the part that you/they are getting paid can go towards the trip.

  9. T-Shirts -- Sales are extended through November 11.  Luke to send out a reminder.  LuAnn to put info together with the link.  Work on a different company to provide apparel.

  10. Amazon -- have to reapply because of an error in advertising site.  Once the reapplication is done, then sales from anyone who has purchased will go towards new site

  11. Madrigal Dinner -- November 17-20 no meeting beforehand.  Luke will Google form to all Madrigal parents for head table parents to volunteer two nights, and then send to all Choir parents.  Need 15-20 parent per show (dish room etc.) Tables set with head tables kids during 5th hour, ready to serve by 3:30.  Parents needed about 4:00, and until everything is over.  Have sold 120 tickets for Friday, Sunday 70-80 tickets.  The menu is vegetable soup, salad, bread, pork loin, cinnamon apples, potato medley, and wassail.  Have candles with numbers, Luck to check table cloths.

  12. By-Laws to Website -- needed to talk about money stuff.  Fundraising verbiage cannot be in by-laws.  Will try to go through on December meeting

  13. Fundraising dollars to individual students -- will try to get accounts by the end of November. There is currently not another fundraiser on the books; Luke is not opposed to it but will have to get it going soon.  Discussion regarding Jacks Links -- would be 50% profit for the student, a box of $120 get $60 profit.  The discussion was not to do this one, as the product has to be pre-purchased.  Would prefer to have fundraisers where we don't' pre-pay.  Luke will look into a poinsettia fundraiser.  Have done previously through Malmbergs'.  Offer three sizes of plants, many colors.  They deliver to the school.  If someone(business?) purchases more than 30 plants, Malmbergs will deliver directly to them.  Discussion regarding selling Heggies Pizzas.  Check into of another group is selling them.  Debi Long to reach out to Heggies Pizzas.  Check into if another group is selling them.  Debi Long to reach out to Heggies.  Last payment for the trip has to be paid my February 1st.

Next meeting on December 5, 2016
