bel canto

Bel Canto is Italian for "beautiful singing" and is an 18th-century style of operatic singing originating in Italy.  It originated with the first operas during the Baroque era (the early 1700s) – best exemplified by the music of Handel – and was revived a century later with the music of Rossini, Donizetti, and Bellini.

This all-female choir is an auditioned group under the direction of Mr. Ben Beaupre. No matter what kind of music we sing, that’s what we all want to do – sing beautifully!
